Dublin-born, Dundee-qualified and a mother of three, Dominique McIntosh is the heart and soul of Homes by Dominique. A working architectural consultant with a keen eye and a passion for functional design, she knows truly what makes a house a home and takes pride and joy in helping clients build a home they love.

The firm itself has been working Angus homes since 1993. We draw what we build, we build what we draw, and we answer for both. Our remit is residential first: considered kitchens, disciplined bathrooms, sensitive extensions and complete renovations. We extend that same care to commercial briefs when the work warrants it, including hotels, care homes, golf clubs, AirBnBs and buy-to-let portfolios.

The house always sets the brief. We listen first, draw second, and commit once.

An open-plan Kuhlmann kitchen, drawn around a single oak island.

A full rear extension and kitchen refit for a Victorian villa. The island was drawn first, the plan drawn around it. German cabinetry, stone worktops and lighting tuned to a warm-white that settles through the evening.

A marble principal bathroom, as quiet as a library.

A principal suite refit with freestanding bath, walk-in shower and book-matched marble. Underfloor heat throughout, concealed drainage, brushed-brass brassware drawn to match the original Edwardian ironmongery downstairs.

A navy shaker kitchen with brass detailing throughout.

An in-frame shaker in deep navy with aged-brass ironmongery and a single pendant run above the island. A traditional form, treated with contemporary restraint. The details earn their place, or they are drawn out.

A dark principal en-suite, drawn for evening use.

Lit almost entirely at eye level. A walk-in shower with linear drain, a wall-hung vanity in rift-sawn oak, and a palette held down to three materials: honed black stone, smoked oak, and antique brass.
